As subcontractor to Hercules Fundering
At Sønderborg Promenade and Kayak Harbour, Sejerslev carried out the complete steel contract in connection with the establishment of the steel bridge and associated structures.
The project is located in an exposed marine environment and forms part of an urban harbour and recreational facility.

Installation in a marine environment
The work placed demands on the handling of surface-treated elements, tolerance handling during installation over water, coordination with foundation and concrete works, and lift planning under changing weather conditions.
Sejerslev carried out the installation in close cooperation with Hercules’ site management and the other trades.
The steel contract was executed in EXC3 acc. to DS/EN 1090-2 with stringent requirements for documentation, welding procedures, inspection level and traceability.
The work comprised load-bearing bridge structures, railings, safety structures, bespoke brackets and installation in complex waterside surroundings.
